Information to Know About Flat-Bottom Silos

What is Mastic?

In today's technology, it is preferred in grain silo areas, and flat-bottom silo models are used in long-term and high-tonnage grain storage. They generally offer users storage capacities ranging from 4.58m to 32m in diameter and a maximum of 24.687m. Flat-bottom silo models are frequently preferred because they always provide advantages to their users. In grain silo and storage areas, hot and cold-resistant strip mastics used at the joints of the wall sheets provide perfect sealing in all climates. Another product, the bolt, is used; bolts of 10.9 quality with 500 coating are used at all joint points of the silo wall sheets and stiffeners to ensure maximum durability. Thanks to the high-density conical polyethylene seals on the bolts, the sealing is kept at the highest level.

What is Wall Sheet?

Wall sheets produce stronger silos with the narrowest corrugated sheets, such as 65 mm, providing significant advantages over competitors with these features. Used in grain silo products, galvanized sheets totaling 600 gr/m on both surfaces extend the life of the silo and always set it apart from competitors who use less coating. The amount of galvanization on the wall sheets is preferred and used according to the filling and emptying frequency of the silos and according to natural events such as humidity, wind, and sandstorms that the areas where the silos will be installed will be exposed to.
