Fast and Safe Transportation by Taxi
The History of Taxis
Today, the crowded and tiring traffic of growing cities turns transportation into torture. The traffic problem, which is closely known by those living in big cities, is increasing day by day, making city dwellers more tired and stressed. Those who do not want to experience more torture in transportation prefer commercial vehicles that provide customer-specific service, which we call yellow taxis. The history of commercial taxis, which immediately attract attention in traffic with their wheat-yellow color, does not date back very far. Today, it is possible to own a taxi by renting a license plate and use it for commercial purposes. As a company established for this purpose, which has managed to keep its finger on the pulse of the industry, it serves those who want to rent a license plate. We can say that the first private transportation vehicles in Istanbul were horse-drawn carriages and boats. In Anatolia, transportation was done by more primitive methods. Transportation was provided by methods such as ox-carts, horses, etc. As the population of Istanbul began to increase, horse-drawn carriages became insufficient.
Safe Transportation
Dolmuş (shared taxi) services started in 1931. The concept of dolmuş, which developed over time, gave birth to the concept of taxi. The 1970s are considered the period when the taxi concept rose the fastest. Taxis, which separated from dolmuş, began to attract attention as a different sector. Yellow taxis started to serve all over Turkey and continued their development in parallel with technological advancements until today. Taxi service, which is a commercial sector, should not be considered only as transportation. It continues to offer an alternative to the transportation problems of Istanbul residents by providing services in a wide range, from taxi service to license plate rental, from vehicle rental to tourism.
